On this tour, we visit different habitats and lodges than in Tour 2. We never stay more than two days in the same lodge, allowing us to photograph and spot the maximum variety of bird species.
Both tours offer unique opportunities to explore a variety of habitats and charming lodges, from marshy wetlands to tranquil river landscapes. While the locations differ, many bird species overlap, yet each habitat has its own distinctive species and character. The changing environments provide diverse photographic opportunities and backdrops, allowing you to capture both familiar and new species in ever changing settings. Each lodge is situated in a specific habitat that invites exploration—from mangrove forests to open savannas. For bird photographers, this is the ideal way to experience Gambia's rich birdlife from multiple perspectives.
