The Photo Hide at Mandinari River Lodge is a collaboration between Abou, the General Manager of Mandinari River Lodge, and Fatou Colley from the G.B.A. Group Gambia.

At Mandinari River Lodge, we take pride in offering a unique facility for bird enthusiasts and photographers: a specially designed photography hide. This exceptional feature is one of a kind in The Gambia and provides an unforgettable experience for both birdwatchers and photographers alike. The hide features a water pool measuring 7 metres long and 3 metres wide, positioned at eye level with an overflow and a closed water circulation system, ensuring a constant flow of fresh water. (The pump-driven circulation system will be installed in October, and the edges will be covered so that no concrete is visible!!!) The focus of this hide is firmly on photography, with a smooth, even background as birds come to drink or bathe. The hide comfortably accommodates up to three people, ensuring a relaxed and enjoyable experience. This special project has been made possible through the collaboration between Abou, the General Manager of Mandinari River Lodge, and Gambiabirdingadventures.com/.nl and birdingadventuresgambia.nl/.com. Together, we have created a photography hide and water pool that perfectly meet the needs of photographers and nature lovers.
